" It is our choices that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities."

What other people think of you is NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS!

I lived my life for years concerned with what others thought about me
and caring so much that I would morph myself into what ever I thought
would allow me to be accepted and liked. This led to some very poor choices on my part.
When rejection came and it always did because I was trying to be someone
I wasn't; I took it to mean that who I was wasn't good enough. Living that life
led me to losing sight who I truly was as a person. Can anyone else relate?

I have found that whenever I live my life based on what other people think
of me I give my personal power over to them. Leaving me helpless to the
whims of the changing opinion's of others. Opinions are like belly buttons
everyone has one. They make them up as they go along and often change as
often as the weather. It is exhausting to keep up that way of living.

It takes courage to stand for what you believe in and to be who you are without
reservation. The best example of this is children. Have you ever noticed that
kids will say what is on their minds with no filters and display their emotions of
happiness, sadness, being silly or anger no matter who is around or what they
may think. They do this without thinking and  without fear. As we grow from children into
adulthood we loose that sense of freedom along the way. We let our fears and
the rules of what we think is social convention that we adopt as our own run us.
We forget what it was to be that child that plays with abandon and is fearless in
their expressions of who they are as people. Only seeing the possibilities in life.

To have courage does not mean that there is an absence of fear. On the contrary,
it is to feel the fear  and do it anyway. How does  this fit with the premise of
"What people think about you is none of your business"?  If you allow yourself
to be so concerned with what others think of you and base your decisions on those
opinions you will never have a life that is your own or lived to your fullest potential.

To put aside concerns or in some cases obsessions with what others think of us takes
courage. Courage to take our social masks off and be real with the people around us. It
also takes a strong belief  in ourselves and acceptance of who you are warts and all.

In the end when I am on my death bed, the last thing I want to say and remember
is that I lived my life for everyone else. That I cheated others of the gifts God gave me
that could have made a difference in this world. That I cheated myself out of the life
I could have had if only I had the courage to be myself, stand for my convictions and
took a risk to succeed.
How about you?

What are you broadcasting?

Every single one of us is a broadcast station. We are broadcasting a vibration of the major thoughts that we are holding.

Our thoughts tend to show up in the way we hold our faces, the way our shoulders are tense or relaxed, and how much we walk with a lift in our step, or with the heaviness of a drudge.

You are broadcasting to the Universe the energy of your predominant thoughts. These thoughts, through the Law of Attraction, draw unto you ideas, people, circumstances and situations that are in exact accord or coherence with the prayers you're saying--even if you might not realize that your thoughts actually are your prayers.

On this day, let us make a decision to create a magnificent day by broadcasting gratitude, by broadcasting appreciation, and by broadcasting how good and precious it is to be in this human life--this day.

In Gratitude,
Mary Manin Morrissey

Be the change

"Ultimately, what we'll discover, as individuals and
collectively, is that while we may attempt to hammer our
world into submission through pure force and might, lasting
change will only come from within. We must become the
very change we choose to experience in our world."
Gregg Braden

Do not wait for others to save you. You must first and always look inside yourself to find what is working, what isn't and what to change to do better. The buck stops with you and you alone. take responsibility for your life and the results that you have created.
There is true freedom in the know that you can and do make your life what ever it is.

Thoughts are things

"Whatever the mind of man can conceive and believe,
it can achieve. Thoughts are things! And powerful
things at that, when mixed with definiteness of purpose,
and burning desire, can be translated into riches."
Napoleon Hill

Always mind your thoughts or they will mind you. Every action, every result created began with a thought.

Wait for nothing

"So often we wait for the climate and conditions in
life to be perfect before we feel safe enough to step
forward, trust, and be our authentic selves. What we
don't realize is that in order to create the ideal climate
we are waiting for, we must be authentic first."

Sonia Choquette:
Spiritual teacher and author

Passion & Purpose

"Ask yourself what you would do even if you were
never paid. That's a clue to what you should be
doing and of course finding a way to be paid
for it. You can attract more money from love."
Dr. Joe Vitale

Truth of Power

"Power is being aware of what one is choosing to do, feeling free
to do it, and doing it intentionally. Power is freedom
to choose with awareness and to involve ourselves in
health-promoting and other activities. Power is
how we participate in creating our reality."
Dr. Gerald Epstein:Author and practitioner of integrative health-care

Don't Take Anything Personally

I have been reading a book called The Four Agreements and one of the agreements that it
talks about is to not take anything personally. Not just the negative but the positive as well.

This seems like an impossible task at times but I can see the freedom in it if practiced. When
I don't take anything personally then I am not burdened by the opinions of others. Knowing that
what ever some one's opinion is has nothing to do with me and everything to do with their
own belief system and perception of their reality.

If someone does not like what I have to say I do not have to take it in and let it weigh me down.
The same holds for when someone agrees with and like what I have to say. Their likes and dislikes
all come from the belief systems and perceptions that they hold and has nothing to do with me.

I know that as long as I come from a place of love and intention to be of service to others then I am
at peace every time I hold a seminar or coach.

Walk the Talk
It is easy to give advice to others. I have a much easier time helping someone else solve their problems than
I do solving my own. One thing I have noticed through my coaching practice is that the things I tell others to do
are often the same things I need to be doing myself. To walk my talk not only sets the best example for others but
also benefits me in the process.

Getting through these times
In Today's tough economic times it is easy to get pulled into the fear and scarcity mindset that is around us. We hear it on the news and read it in the paper.
Take a break from this barrage of negativity. Do not watch or listen to the news, nor engage in negative talk with others.
Instead focus your thoughts and energies on what is working in your life and the opportunities to create more of what you want. For what we focus on expands
(We get more of it). To change the focus of your thoughts and talk is to change your life.
